How do leaderboards work?

Choose what earns points
In the Rewards step, turn on Points configuration and set what each action is worth: Referral Points, Conversion Points and Share Points, for example 2, 3 and 1. Count unique shares only stops repeat shares from adding up.

Everyone sees the ranking
The Leaderboard widget shows the ranking on your page: Bob D. first, then Freddie M. and Aretha F. It invites people to come back and check their place.

Each person sees their own rank
The Stat widget shows Jay's own numbers: rank, referral count and pending referrals, like Maya's, which hasn't counted yet.

Rewards along the way
The Milestone widget sets out a reward at each milestone, with the goal and how many friends have joined so far. People outside the top still have something to reach.

Can people see their place if they aren't in the top?
Yes. The Stat widget shows each person's own rank, referral count and pending referrals.
Can I give rewards before the contest ends?
Yes. Add reward milestones in the Rewards step, and the Milestone widget shows each one and how many friends it takes.
Can shares earn points, or only referrals?
Both. Points configuration gives points for referrals, conversions and shares, and Count unique shares only stops repeat shares from adding up.
Can I style the leaderboard?
Yes. Set the background, box space, border radius, body font and titles, and add your own CSS on Plus and up.
Can the leaderboard go on a hosted page?
Yes. Viral Loops Pages has a Leaderboard Widget block, plus counters for rank, referrals and pending referrals.
Which plan do I need?
The Leaderboard Giveaway template and the widgets are on every plan. Custom CSS comes with Plus and up.
