How do rewards work?

Set what people earn
In the Rewards step: a reward for every referral, with a reward cap if you want one, rewards at milestones, like 3 referrals, and an invitee reward for the friend who accepts the invite.

A referral counts, a reward is waiting
Maya's referral counts, and Jay's reward appears in the Rewards Management table as Pending, next to every other reward in the program.

Review it, then redeem
Open the reward to see the platform, what will be sent and Jay's Fraud Risk. Click Redeem, then "Yes, redeem it".

It reaches them
The connected platform sends it: Stripe credit or a coupon, a Tremendous gift card or a Sendoso gift. Jay sees it turn to Redeemed in the Rewards tab of the Progress Tracking widget.

Rewards FAQ
When does a reward go out?
When you redeem it. Open the reward in Rewards Management, click Redeem and confirm, and the connected platform sends it. On Growing and Power, Automated Rewarding can send rewards for you.
What can I give as a reward?
Discounts, coupons, free products, cash, gift cards, points or exclusive access. Stripe pays credit or a coupon, Tremendous sends gift cards and cash payouts, and Sendoso sends gift cards, coupons or merchandise.
Does the friend get a reward too?
Yes, if you turn on the invitee reward. Maya gets it after accepting Jay's invite.
Can I limit how many rewards one person earns?
Yes. Turn on the reward cap and set Max rewards.
Can I check a reward before it's sent?
Yes. Each reward in Rewards Management shows the participant's Fraud Risk, so you can check it before you redeem. Review and Approve Rewards is on Plus and up.
How do rewards work in a Shopify store?
Viral Loops for Shopify creates unique, single-use discount codes in your store when someone wins them. Jay gets the code in the Successful Referral Email, and Maya in the Welcome Email.
