In emails, write the fields as %SHAREURL%, %REFERRALS% and so on. Extra form fields get their tag from the field name, so keep names to 10 characters or fewer, with no spaces.

    Start an automation with the Subscribes to a list trigger and add %SHAREURL% to the first email. Every new participant gets their own link.

    Trigger an automation on Field Changes for Total Referrals, and the milestone email goes out as a friend's sign-up moves the count.

    See who referred each contact

    Referred contacts carry REFEMAIL, REFFNAME and REFLNAME, so you can see who brought them in and thank the right person.

    Find your API details

    In ActiveCampaign, go to Settings, then Developer, and copy your URL and API key.

    Paste them in Viral Loops

    In your campaign's Integrations step, choose ActiveCampaign and enter the URL and key.

    Choose your list

    Pick the list new participants should join.

  4. 4

    Show the fields on contacts

    In ActiveCampaign, go to Forms, then Manage Fields, and make each referral field available in that list.

Which fields does Viral Loops add to ActiveCampaign?

How do I put the referral link in an ActiveCampaign email?

Why can't I see the referral fields on a contact?

Make each field available in your list: in ActiveCampaign, go to Forms, then Manage Fields, and edit the field.
